John is a lifelong boater and sailor. Before becoming a marine surveyor, he had a successful career as a Firefighter/Paramedic. John is also a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. John currently possesses a USCG Master License, Near Coastal 50 GRT, with Sailing and Towing endorsements. John is also one of the instructors for the Chapman School of Seamanships Yacht and Small Craft Surveying course.
